The academy season continued last weekend with the Union U16s traveling to Tuckahoe Turf Farms for a showcase and the U13s and U14s heading south to Loudoun United.
The 16s went 1-1-1 on Saturday and Sunday, defeating Seacoast United before falling 1-0 to BW Gottschee and drawing 3-3 with Beachside. The weather turned the playing surface rough and the Union could not possess the ball in their usual manner.
The U13s suffered a difficult defeat to Loudoun. Physically outmatched but still fighting hard, Phil Karn's boys grabbed a first half goal but couldn't hold on for points.
Fred Da Silva's U14s notched a goal and held onto a shutout to pick up a big win as they prepare for New England Revolution this weekend.
The Revs will bring many of their academy sides to the Power Training Complex for a series of matches against the Union U15s, U17s, and U19s.
Fans attending the Union's May 4th match against New England at 7:30 p.m. ET can come out early to the stadium and see some stars of the future strut their stuff.
Tickets to the Union's May 4th match are available here.
