Philadelphia Union Academy has announced that its U-18 team will compete at the prestigeous Dallas Cup later this month.
Dallas Cup, the oldest and most prestigious international youth soccer tournament in North America, features more than 490 boys and girls teams from 18 countries competing across Under 10 through Under 19 age divisions. The tournament will welcome more than 10,000 athletes, along with coaches, referees, and supporters from around the world, continuing its legacy as one of Dallas’ most diverse international annual events.
Philadelphia Union will compete in the elite 12-team U19 Gordon Jago Super Group with the Baby Snakes assigned to Group. The U-18s will kick off their participation in the tournament on March 29th taking on Liberia's National Team followed up with a battle against Brazilian side Sao Paulo FC on March 30th. Group play concludes on April 1st with an MLS battle against St. Louis CITY SC.
The U19 Gordon Jago Super Group also features Aston Villa FC, Club Deportivo Toluca, Fulham FC, CF Monterrey as well as MLS Academy sides Real Salt Lake and FC Dallas.
