U15s to face Real Madrid on MLS Season Pass in GA Cup QF

Philadelphia Union Academy learned on Wednesday afternoon that it the U15s contest against Real Madrid in the Quarterfinals of the 2023 Generation adidas Cup will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.

The U15s enter the quarterfinals fresh off a resounding 4-1 victory against English side Arsenal F.C. The Boys in Blue needed only 19 seconds to open the scoring with Cavan Sullivan making the most of a high-press turnover at the back. After the visitors equalized in the 11th minute, the Union took control and grabbed a 2-1 lead going into halftime with a finish from the penalty spot from Anisse Saidi. The Union forward added another to break the match up in the 33rd minute, taking a pass from Sullivan and placing it inside the far post. The Union wrapped up the scoring in the 51st minute with some set piece magic off the training grounds. Off a short corner, Jamir Johnson collected possession and floated in a cross to the far post where substitute Mateo Gallegos was positioned. Battling his man to get a touch, the fresh legs paid off to win the ball and head it into the back of the net.

Real Madrid enters the match after they defeated Valencia C.F., 3-0 in the all Spanish Round of 16 contest.
