Bethlehem Steel FC Announces Preliminary 2019 Preseason-Training Schedule
Club to train in Clearwater, Florida from January 28 – February 7; will scrimmage against D.C. United and Chargers Soccer Club
CHESTER, Pa. (January 19, 2019) – Bethlehem Steel FC announced today its 2019 preseason schedule, centered around the club’s first preseason trip to Clearwater, Florida. The team will host one camp in Clearwater, followed by in-market training in the Philadelphia area.
Following players reporting to Philadelphia, Steel FC will fly to Florida to begin their training sessions in Clearwater. The camp runs from Monday, January 28 through Thursday, February 7 and includes scrimmages at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex against D.C. United (Saturday, February 2 / 4:00 p.m. ET) and the Countryside Sports Plex against Chargers Soccer Club (Tuesday, February 5 / 7:00 p.m. ET). All scrimmages are closed.
The Steel will return to Philadelphia in preparation for the 2019 USL Championship regular season, which will begin with an away contest against Birmingham Legion FC at BBVA Compass Field on Saturday, March 9.
The rest of Bethlehem Steel FC’s preseason schedule will be announced at a later date. Dates and times of events are subject to change.
