A strong performance in on the west coast has earned Philadelphia Union's Daniel Gazdag a place on Major League Soccer’s Team of the Week for Week 10.
The Union's leading scorer bagged his fifth goal of the season in the first half, making a back post run to finish off a strong cross from left back Kai Wagner.
In the second half, Gazdag showcased his playmaking skills via the pass with a perfectly placed ball to forward Julian Carannza in the 67th minute that put the Union ahead on the road against the Western Conference leaders.
Gazdag led the Boys in Blue completing 87% of his passes and winning 85.7% of his individual duels between the top two teams in MLS.
The Hungarian midfielder is the fifth member of the Union to earn the league's weekly honor, joining teammates Andre Blake, Jack Elliott, Julian Carranza and Nathan Harriel.
The Boys in Blue continue their roadtrip with a battle against Orlando City SC on Tuesday night in a Round of 32 match in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Kick off from Florida is set for 7 p.m. ET with the contest shown on ESPN+.
