Taking on FC Cincinnati in front of the Union faithful, center back Jack Elliott made a huge play that has been named the Allstate Protection Play of June!
Trailing by a goal, FC Cincinnati stepped up the intensity and nearly equalized within moments of the Union gaining the advantage. Two-time MLS Goalkeeper Andre Blake lived up to the billing with a reaction stop on Álvaro Barreal at the left post which then floated on the goal line. Jack Elliott reacted quickly to the play, clearing it away before the Ohio side could tap it in at the back post.
