After bagging his second hat trick of the season to lead Philadelphia Union to the top seed in the Eastern Conference, Daniel Gazdag has earned a spot on EA Sports FIFA Team of the Week!
The Hungarian midfielder who already set the single-season scoring record this season rounded out his regular season stat sheet at 22 goals in 2022. Gazdag scored his second hat trick of the season in the Decision Day match against Toronto FC on Sunday afternoon at Subaru Park. The midfielder opened the scoring in the fourth minute of play and then quickly racked up another duo of goals with a penalty kick finish and tremendous run in the 63rd minute to hit 22. The goals mean Gazdag has scored in each of the last seven home matches at Subaru Park as they head into the postseason.
In addition to his goals, he added an assist on the Union's goal scored by Mikael Uhre to make Gazdag the sixth player in MLS history with at least 20 goals and 10 assists in a single season.
