Haiti 2,  Costa Rica 1

  • Down at the half, Haiti rallied with a conversion from the spot in the 56th minute from Duckens Nazon. The stadium erupted Djimy Bend Alexis found the back of the net with nine minutes remaining to lift Haiti to its first ever group win in the tournament. The result means Haiti will face off against Canada.
  • After Costa Rica jumped out to an early lead it seemed like the Ticos were bound for a contest against Canada in the quarterfinals but a strong second half push from Haiti mean a date with Mexico Saturday night.


Bermuda 2, Nicaragua 0

  • Playing in their first Concacaf Gold Cup, Bermuda ended their tournament run with three points with a pair of second half goals. Lejuan Simmons found the back of the net after a pass from Osagi Bascome.
