Every day, around 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. To raise awareness of the human stories and costs of childhood cancer, the Union are proud to join Major League Soccer’s Kick Childhood Cancer (KCC) activations and continue the club’s Fearless 43 campaign, a special creative initiative to create special moments for children battling cancer and their families.
Philadelphia Union partnered with Kisses For Kyle to find 43 kids fearlessly fighting cancer with the support of their loved ones and engage with them through acts of kindness, a special event and a unique game day experience in September. Each member of the Fearless 43 will receive Union-created custom Union x KCC pajamas that feature a detachable Union cape.
The club will also make an additional donation of pajamas to patients at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Fearless 43 families had a special meet-and-greet with Union players earlier this month. Check out the wonderful photos below!
The Union will also host a special Fearless 43 movie night at Subaru Park on September 9th. Fearless 43 and their families will be invited to the Union's stadium to watch a movie right from their field and receive their custom pajamas and some other Union items. Movie snacks will be provided along with each family receiving a blanket courtesy of Subaru.
Kick Childhood Cancer Cancer Night will take place on Sunday, September 19th when the Union host Orlando City SC. Fearless 43 families will be invited to the match and at halftime will be recognized in a special halftime on-field ceremony.
