Philadelphia Union extended its unbeaten run but were left wanting more after battling Toronto FC to a 3-3 draw on Wednesday night.
After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, the Union struck just before halftime as Milan Iloski converted on a breakaway to make it 1-0. The Union No. 10’s first league goal of the season carried momentum into the second half, where sustained defensive pressure led to a second goal, with Danley Jean Jacques seeing a clearance deflect off his shin and into the back of the net.
Toronto FC, however, continued its trend as a comeback side early in the 2026 campaign. U.S. Men’s National Team forward Josh Sargent jump-started the rally in the 56th minute, and eight minutes later Kobe Franklin found the equalizer to level the match at 2-2.
The two sides looked destined to split the points after the Canadian side's late rally but the game would produce more drama late in the match. Philly grabbed the lead once again in the 89th minute as homegrown Nathan Harriel headed home a corner kick play. During second half stoppage time, the Reds struck once again with goalkeeper Luka Gavran heading home a last ditch ball into the box.
Philadelphia Union continues its road trip on Saturday night with a matchup against the Columbus Crew. Kickoff from Ohio is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on April 25th.
