Injury report: Hello Sergio, almost Marco, No Freese or McKenzie

Philadelphia Union welcome New England Revolution to Talen Energy Stadium this weekend in a match presented by ACME, and Jim Curtin will finally be able to call on both Sergio Santos and Marco Fabian again.

The Union head coach said that Santos would likely play a part against the Revs this weekend and that Fabian could be available off the bench. This would be the first time since early in the season that Philadelphia would have both of their biggest offseason signings in the gameday 18 at the same time. Jamiro Monteiro also arrived following the 2018 season but he has remained healthy since his P1 Visa was approved and he officially joined the roster.

Ilsinho is back to full fitness following a hamstring tweak a couple weeks ago but Anthony Fontana is still returning to health. The two players that will certainly be out of the lineup on Saturday are Matt Freese and Mark McKenzie. The former sustained an oblique tear that will keep him out for 4-6 weeks while McKenzie continues to rehab from his appendicitis surgery. "I would hope in the next week and a half, two weeks," Curtin said when describing McKenzie's likely timeline for a return to action.

The Union look to build on their three match unbeaten streak on Saturday May 4 against New England Revolution.
