In a game with limited chances on both sides, the difference came down to a single moment, with Atlanta finding the lone breakthrough to secure the result.
The U-15s still control their path to the knockouts, as they face off against French side Toulouse FC on Sunday morning in their Group G finale.
The Union Academy U-16s fell 3-1 to Inter Miami CF in their second match of Generation adidas Cup play.
Jayden Kouadio provided the offensive spark for Philadelphia, scoring the team’s lone goal, but Inter Miami capitalized on their chances to take control of the match.
The U-16s will aim to bounce back in their Group F finale on Sunday evening against CF Monterrey, with all four teams level on three points through two matchdays, setting up a decisive final group match.
