Philadelphia Union Academy standouts Abdoulaye Diop and Sammy Gallego represented the Boys in Blue on Monday night, helping the East to a commanding 6-1 victory over the West in the 2026 MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex in Matthews, North Carolina.
After earning selection to the annual showcase of North America’s top young talent, both Union Academy players entered at halftime with the East holding a 5-0 lead and played the entire second half. The East added one more goal after the break before closing out a commanding 6-1 victory.
The appearance marked another milestone for Philadelphia Union's Academy, with the club once again represented among the league's brightest young prospects during MLS All-Star Week. Both players earned their selections following standout performances throughout the 2025-26 MLS NEXT season.
