For the second straight year, the Philadelphia Union Academy will be represented at the MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate with defender Neil Pierre selected for the event.
Kick off for the East vs. West match is set for 10:30AM ET on Wednesday morning at the Naval Academy’s Glenn Warner Soccer Facility in Annapolis, Md. and will be streamed exclusively on Major League Soccer's TikTok channel.
Pierre, an Philadelphia Union Academy standout, just completed a successful campaign with the club. In April, Pierre helped the U-17 team win the 2023 Generations adidas Cup in Bradenton, Florida, a feat accomplished for just the second time in club history. With his outstanding play, Pierre was called up to the U-16 United States Men's Youth National Team to play in the International Dream Cup in May.
Though the Union U-17 squad did not advance past the Round of 16 of the MLS NEXT Cup Playoffs, his play earned him a spot on the tournament's All-Star Game roster.
The Lebanon, Pennsylvania native is the brother of current Philadelphia Union first team player Nelson Pierre, who signed a homegrown contract through 2026 in February.
