Philadelphia Union Academy player Jamir Johnson has been named the inaugural MLS NEXT Player of the Month, the league announced on Thursday afternoon.
Johnson's talent has seen the 13 year-old play above his age group early in the Academy's MLS NEXT slate, with Johnson making appearances with both the U14 and most recently with the U15s. Johnson notched six goals during September's Academy slate, including a hat trick in a friendly against Penn Fusion's U15 side!
