Philadelphia Union Academy's older squads faced off against PDA on Sunday afternoon in MLS NEXT action with the U17s grabbing a 2-0 win while the U15s battled to a 2-2 draw.

The U17s bounced back from a 3-1 loss to New York City FC with a 2-0 win courtesy of goals from Marcello Mazzolla and Dylan Lacy. Playing in hot temperatures both sides battle fatigue and cramps but the Boys in Blue were better prepared for the adversity according to U17 Head Coach Tobias Nubbemeyer.

The U15s on the other hand played a thrilling contest that ended in a 2-2 draw. Antonio Horozoglou notched the opening goal for the Boys in Blue for the early lead but the New Jersey side fought back with a tying goal moments later. Jaden Francis regained the lead for the U15s however a late goal from PDA had the two sides share a point.

The U17s are back in action next weekend with a friendly against Camden County Community College that will take place on Saturday, May 8th. Both teams return to MLS NEXT action on Saturday, May 15th, when they travel south to Segra Field for contests against rival D.C. United.
