Andrew Rick heading to the World Cup as USMNT training goalkeeper

Philadelphia Union homegrown Andrew Rick will be going to the World Cup as a training goalkeeper in Mauricio Pochettino United States squad. 

Rick will train alongside four Philadelphia Union homegrowns and Academy alumni as Matt Freese, Mark McKenzie, Auston Trusty, and Brenden Aaronson are all part of the roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. 

The 20-year-old has made the USMNT U-19 and U-20 camps in the past for his youth career. For the professional career he has made 21 appearances for the Union first team in his career including four starts during club's Concacaf Champions Cup run this season.
