Bethlehem Steel FC has mutually agreed to part ways with defender Raymond Lee, the club announced Thursday.
Lee, 22, joined Bethlehem Steel FC on Jan. 29, 2016 and participated in the team’s preseason. Prior to joining Steel FC, Lee played for the Philadelphia Union after being drafted in the fourth round of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft with the No. 71 overall pick. The defender was later waived by the club on Aug. 28, 2015. While with the Union, Lee came on as a substitute during a 3-2 loss to Sporting Kansas City and started during the friendly against AFC Bournemouth on July 14, 2015.
Bethlehem Steel FC will start the inaugural season on Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m. against FC Montreal. The team will then play the first home game at Goodman Stadium on Sunday, April 3 at 3 p.m. against FC Cincinnati.
