“I am beyond humbled to be recognized by this amazing organization that does so much good for the community and our children.
My name is Jaclyn Catalano and I am married to my wonderful husband, Mauro. We have been together for 19 years and have 10 incredible children, yes, 10 and I had every one of them. Carley (19), Maura (14), Colton (13), Dominic (11), Colt (10), Arabella (9), Pierce (7), Brinkley (5), Lenex (3), and Farryn (2). As you can imagine, our days and nights are jammed packed with activities but we always make time for dinner where everyone shares the pits and peaks, the bad and good parts, of our day. Our children enjoy many different activities such as horseback riding, gymnastics, dance, and of course SOCCER!
I own a small company named 10 Little Dumplins LLC, obviously named after my 10 children. I am using my great-great grandmother's recipe and her rolling pin to make hand rolled chicken and dumplings. I sell them at local farm markets in New Jersey when my schedule allows.
Soccer has always been a huge part of my life as I played throughout my youth and all through high school. My husband never played soccer and did not know much about it, but now he loves it as much as we do. Our son Dominic plays with the 2011 Gold Tier through the Philadelphia Union PPP. He will be starting a new club team in the Fall with Sporting Delaware and is also part of NCE (National Center of Excellence). He will be traveling with the NCE to England this August to play in a tournament he was invited too. He mainly plays center-mid and does a wonderful job controlling the center of the field. Our daughter Arabella also attends NCE and is part of SJEBFC 2013 club team who has been undefeated for over a year in all tournaments and league games normally playing up an age group. Our son Colt plays for our township team and improves with every game! All of our younger children cannot wait for their turn to take part in this beautiful game.
We have attended many Union games and loved the atmosphere so much that we became season ticket holders. Conversations about the Philadelphia Union and the lessons that my children have learned from watching these extraordinary athletes are frequent topics at our dinner table.”
