The Philadelphia Union are pleased to announce that the hometown hero for Saturday night's match against New York Red Bull will be Petty Officer Konrad Otachel.
Petty Officer Otachel has been part of the US Navy for over 20 years. Throughout his time serving, he has been stationed in Bahrain and onboard numerous ships in the United States and beyond. Most recently, Petty Officer Otachel has served with NSA Philadelphia as their Funeral Honor Ceremonial Guard Leading Petty Officer and Acting Chief.
For his services, he has received many awards including the Navy Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Navy Good Conduct Medal.
