Philadelphia Union U17 Academy won two to nil in the opening game of their 2018 Development Academy campaign.

The Academy team controlled the game from to start to finish with long periods of possession, but with a defensive Continental team, it became difficult for the U17 Academy to break through the final third of the field.

Adam Lenges coming on in the second half allowed for the game to open up. More opportunities were available for the Academy team in which goals came from Antek Sienkiel (60’) and Shanyder Borgelin (74’).

The U17 Academy will continue their season on March 10 against PDA.
