Now that fans have seen the full 2018 MLS season schedule, it's time to examine the Philadelphia Union's top five away matches. From new beginnings to rivalry matches, there's plenty of action to take part in this season on the road.
@ New York Red Bulls - Saturday, May 26 - 7:00 p.m.
Fans won't want to miss out on a classic Eastern Conference rivalry clash when the Union head to Red Bull Arena for their first meeting of the season. Philadelphia held a 1-1-0 overall record against the Red Bulls in 2017, including a 3-0 victory at Talen Energy Stadium last May featuring CJ Sapong's second-half hat trick. The Boys in Blue will look to defeat RBNY again, this time on their turf.
@ LAFC - Saturday, June 30 - 10:30 p.m.
Making the trip out to Los Angeles for LAFC's inaugural season will be a must-see for every fan. The Union will compete at the Banc of California Stadium and will be looking to make history as the two clubs meet for the first time.
@ Portland Timbers - Friday, Aug. 4 - 11:00 p.m.
The Union will go head to head with the Timbers at Providence Stadium in the first week of August. Portland officially welcomed new head coach Giovanni Saverese on Monday with a new vision for the club. Philadelphia will look to stun the Timbers when they face off in their only meeting of the 2018 season.
@ DC United - Wednesday, Aug. 29 - 7:30 p.m.
Philadelphia will travel to Washington, DC for their first matchup at United's new stadium, Audi Field. The Union were 2-1-0 overall against United in 2017 and left their mark to close out R.F.K Stadium with a 1-0 road win.
@ Seattle Sounders - Wednesday, Sept. 19 - 10:30 p.m.
The 2017 MLS Cup runner-ups will host the Boys in Blue for an Interconference matchup. The two clubs are 4-4-2 overall and the last time they met for MLS play, the Union dominated in a 1-0 win over the Sounders.
