Philadelphia Union Announce 2019 Broadcast Schedule

Club to feature on PHL17 29 times with additional two matches on 6abc

CHESTER, Pa. (January 31, 2019) – Philadelphia Union today announced their 2019 Major League Soccer broadcast schedule, with all 34 of the club’s regular-season matches available live, on local and national television.

Returning as the Union’s flagship home for 2019, PHL17 is set to broadcast 29 of the Union’s 34 regular-season matches. Two games are scheduled to be televised on 6abc, which returns as a Union partner in 2019 after being with the club since its inception in 2010 as a Founding Partner. Meanwhile, two matches will be on LiveWell Network. In addition, all locally televised matches on PHL17, 6abc or LiveWell Network will once again feature either a pre- or post-match show.

“On behalf of the Philadelphia Union, we’d like to welcome back PHL17, 6abc and LiveWell Network as our broadcast partners,” said Tim McDermott, Philadelphia Union Chief Business Officer. “Last year, we began our partnership with the goal of making our games accessible to more people across our market. We’re thrilled to continue these relationships as we look forward to a great season.”

6abc is set to televise the Union’s season opener, vs. Toronto FC on March 2, as well as the contest vs. Orlando City SC on July 6. The Union will be on national television once, with the contest at D.C. United on August 4 scheduled for FS1.

“As the Union’s flagship home, PHL17 looks forward to broadcasting 29 regular-season matches for fans this season,” said Vince Giannini, SVP/General Manager of PHL 17. “Our partnership has been tremendous and we can’t wait to continue our station’s tradition of bringing local sports to households across the Delaware Valley.”

“6abc has been a partner of the Philadelphia Union since the club’s very first season and we are excited to be continuing our relationship in 2019,” added Bernie Prazenica, President and General Manager of 6abc.
