The offseason can be the most difficult season a fan has to endure. Gone are the days of getting excited for the upcoming Philadelphia Union match but now we're back to soccer! During the offseason, the Union did give their supporters a way to have their voices heard, by helping the club and it's Philly collaborators decide on which bag tags would be selected for the club's 10th season.
The Union teamed up with some of the city's biggest names to celebrate the landmark 2019 season. Making MLS history, the 2019 kit features fan-chosen back tags that are emblazoned below the neckline on the back and will be worn by players and available for supporters to purchase. The back tags were created with assistance from numerous people including Philly power couple Zach and Julie Ertz, Bonedaddy's Tattoo and Sons of Ben. Philly rapper Freeway and alternative rock band, The Wonder Years also created back tags.
