Recap: 10-man Union draw Sporting Kansas City in comeback performance

Philadelphia Union showcased its virtual heart and passion rallying back despite being down a man to a 3-3 draw against Sporting Kansas City Saturday evening.


The result extends the Union's FIFA20 simulation unbeaten run to 11-straight results and just the club's second draw. Union midfielder Ilsinho played the key role in the first half of the contest, netting the first goal of the match but then was sent off with a straight red card in the 37th minute, leaving the Boys in Blue down a player for over 50 minutes.


With the numerical advantage, Sporting Kansas City maintained possession for the majority of the contest as one would expect and found an equalizer from Gerso Fernandes in the 43rd minute. The hill got higher for the Union in the second half as Felipe Gutierrez snuck a ball under Union goalkeeper Andre Blake in the 56th minute to make it a 2-1 contest.


Down a man and down a goal the Union fought back and found an equalizer from Kacper Przybylko in the 76th minute. The forward showcased his never quit attitude collecting his own saved rebound and making the most of his second effort. The Union then took the lead in the 85th minute with a headed effort from Warren Creavalle however the visitors found a third goal in the 90th minute to end the match at 3-3.
