The Union went down to 10 men in the 59th minute when defender Olivier Mbaizo received his second yellow card of the match. LAFC midfielder Kwadwo Opoku and forward Denis Bouanga finished their scoring opportunities late in the match to secure the win for Los Angeles.
The Union return to MLS play on Saturday, May 6, where they will face the New York Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena (7:30 p.m. ET / Apple TV).
