The Philadelphia Union will face D.C United in the Round of 16 in the U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer announced Thursday. The game will take place at PPL Park on June 30 at 7:00 p.m.

The Philadelphia Union defeated the Rochester Rhinos 3-1 on penalties on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at PPL Park in the Fourth Round of the U.S. Open Cup. With this victory, the team progressed to the Round of 16 in the oldest soccer tournament in the United States.

For the first time in tournament history, the Open Cup used a fixed bracket starting with the Round of 16. After being divided into four regions, the Union was placed in the Eastern group with D.C United, the New York Red Bulls and the New York Cosmos from the NASL. The games were determined by a random draw Thursday morning.

In 2014, the Philadelphia Union made it to the final of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and suffered a 3-1 loss to the Seattle Sounders in overtime.

Tickets are on sale now and are available online or via telephone at 877-21-Union. The game is free for season ticket members.
