The Union will host their first Youth Soccer Night on April 8th when Philadelphia faces off against the Portland Timbers. The initiative will have family friendly activities before, during, and after the game.
Before the game, fans will be able to compete in games out on Toyota Plaza. The Union will have an adidas miCoach soccer ball for the kids to use, which connects to a smartphone to give instant feedback on power, spin, speed and trajectory of the ball. There will be a juggling contest, where one boy and girl 14 and under will win a post-game autograph session with the Union. There will also be soccer pong, mini games on the ACME field, and a table to sign up for the Union's Junior Supporter's Club.
During the game, those participating in the youth soccer night have a chance for seat upgrades or to win autographed merchandise. There will also be a kid anthem singer and select youth teams will play mini soccer games during halftime. The first 500 kids who bring their youth soccer patch will also be able to exchange it for a Union patch.
Following the Union's match against Portland, there will be a post-game parade around the field of Talen Energy Stadium. Five lucky fans will participate in a jersey swap with five Union players!
Youth Soccer Night will be an unforgettable experience for not just the players but the parents and whole family alike. More details and activities for Youth Soccer Night will be released soon. Make sure to purchase your tickets before it's too late!
