As Philadelphia Union prepare for Orlando City SC to visit Talen Energy Stadium this Friday, we'll take a look at what the Lions did in their last MLS contest.
On April 8, Orlando City hosted Portland Timbers in an inter-conference matchup, earning themselves a come back win after trailing the visiting team 2-0 until the 80th minute of play. The first half looked promising for the Timbers snagging a win on the road until the Lions came alive late in the match — scoring three goals in a seven-minute span.
In the 80th minute, rookie Chris Mueller found the back of the net off a header for the hosting team. Two minutes later, MLS veteran Sacha Kljestan converted a penalty kick, tying the game 2-2. To seal the deal for Orlando's three points at home, Dom Dwyer struck the game-winning goal past Portland goalkeeper Jake Gleeson from the right side of the box.
During tomorrow's matchup, Philadelphia will look to keep Dwyer and his teammates off the scoresheet to earn three points in their home contest.
