Union vs. Chicago Fire Starting XI and Lineup Notes presented by ACME

Philadelphia Union are back at home for an Eastern Conference clash against Chicago Fire. Kick off from Talen Energy Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET can be viewed live on PHL17. Below are the starting lineup and notes.

Andre Blake; Kai Wagner, Auston Trusty, Jack Elliott, Ray Gaddis; Haris Medunjanin, Brenden Aaronson, Marco Fabián, Alejandro Bedoya; Fafa Picault, Kacper Przybylko.

BENCH: Joe Bendik, RJ Allen, Aurelien Collin, Warren Creavalle, Anthony Fontana, Ilsinho, Andrew Wooten.


  • Defender Ray Gaddis will make his 195th career appearance for the Boys in Blue with the start at right back.
  • The centerback duo of Jack Elliott and Auston Trusty both have landmarks as well. Elliott's start will be his 70th all-time appearance while the start for Trusty is No. 55 of his career.
  • The back line is rounded out by the return of Kai Wagner, who missed last week's contest at Real Salt Lake with an injury. The start is his 20th of 2019.
  • Homegrown midfielder Brenden Aaronson will appear in his 20th career game for the Union with tonight's start.
  • Kacper Przybylko earns his 15th career start up top tonight for the Boys in Blue.
  • The bench sees goalkeeper Joe Bendik make his first appearance in the Union's matchday 18. Bendik was acquired via a trade with Columbus Crew SC Friday morning.
  • Both Warren Creavalle and Ilsinho return to the matchday 18, both after missing due to injuries.
