Union Partner with Turkey Hill

CHESTER, Pa (February 18, 2010) - Philadelphia Union announce a partnership with Turkey Hill Dairy as the official ice cream of the expansion Major League Soccer club. Turkey Hill will also be the team’s official iced tea and lemonade, and as such, Turkey Hill will be the only ice cream, iced tea and lemonade sold at Philadelphia Union’s 18,500 seat stadium currently under construction in Chester.

“We’re elated to work with Turkey Hill Dairy because they produce such high quality products that are already very popular with the people and our fans throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region,” said Philadelphia Union President Tom Veit. “Creating this relationship with them continues to underscore our commitment to partner with the best local products and services whenever possible.”

Turkey Hill will also be the official partner and the official ice cream, iced tea and lemonade of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA) and Delaware Youth Soccer Association (DYSA). They will receive title sponsorship of one major EPYSA youth soccer tournament per year, which will be entitled the Turkey Hill Cup.

“We’ve seen the explosion of soccer from the youth level to the professional ranks and with Philadelphia Union coming into our marketplace we’re so proud to be a part of it,” said Thomas Wright, Turkey Hill vice president of Marketing. “We are excited to have the opportunity to be part of Philadelphia Union’s ‘Grassroots Soccer Tour’ and have our giant Turkey Hill cow travel to the youth soccer fields all across the region. It will be a fun way for us to interact with consumers and offer them the opportunity to sample our new items and their favorite flavors of ice cream and cold-fashioned iced teas.”
