Top Day Day 1

2015 Top 10 Union Moments: Better gamewinner; Pfeffer vs. Le Toux

Welcome to the Top 10 Moments of the 2015 Philadelphia Union season. In a season of plenty ups-and-downs, we're going to leave it up to the fans to decide what the top moment of the season was. Each day this week, fans will have 24 hours to vote between a head-to-head matchup. The five winners will then move on to a final vote, to take place on from Dec. 7-11 to determine the overall winner. First round voting this year will be done through Twitter, on the Club's official account. But be sure to start the discussion on the head-to-head matchups below.

On Day One, we start with the dramatic game-winners, pitting Zach Pfeffer's late heroics against D.C United against Sebastien Le Toux's eventual winner against Chicago in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinals.

Zach Pfeffer

Match: Union vs. D.C. United, MLS Regular Season
Date: May 17
Final score: Union 1-0
The moment: Zach Pfeffer puts the Union ahead in the 93rd minute
The scene: With just one win in their first 11 games, the Union were desperate for three points with the entire league watching Fox's nationally broadcast match on Sunday night. But after 90 minutes, the match seemed destined for a scoreless draw and another frustrating empty result for the Union.

Sebastien Le Toux

Match: Union vs. Chicago Fire, U.S. Open Cup semifinals
Date: Aug. 12
Final score: Union 1-0
The moment: Sebastien Le Toux puts the Union up 1-0 in the 75th minute
The scene: With both Philadelphia and Chicago struggling in MLS play, the Open Cup semifinal represented a reprieve for both clubs with a date in the 2015 Final on the line. Late in the second half, Le Toux latched on to a loose ball on the edge of the box and narrowly beat Sean Johnson for the lead. The Union killed off the final 15 minutes and were headed back to the U.S. Open Cup Final for a second consecutive year.

So it's up to you, the fan: did you like the last-second heroics from Zach or the clutch goal from Seba in a must-win situation? Leave your comment below and vote on Twitter.
