The Union Academy will kick off the second half of the 2016-17 season on March 5th along with the first team. Academy teams will play local rival Continental FC in Conshohocken, PA.
The Union U-18 team sits atop the Atlantic Division with 2.33 points per game, above MLS Academy-foe New York Red Bulls. Tiger Graham leads the nation with 15 goals scored through the first half of the season. The second half of the season will feature road trips to New Hampshire to face Seacoast Academy, and Montreal to face Montreal Impact Academy.
With 1.75 points per game, the U-15 side sits in third place in their division. They’ll face division leaders Baltimore Armour and New York Red Bulls once each in the second half of the year. The Union earned a 2-1 win over Baltimore Armour early in the season, and drew the Red Bulls 1-1.
The U-14 squad wrapped up 2016 with a four-game unbeaten streak. Their second half will include a trip to Brooklyn to face BW Gottschee Academy, and a visit from New York Cosmos Academy. The roster includes two recent U.S. Youth team call-ups in Paxten Aaronson and Jack de Vries.
The U-13 side will play the same clubs as the U-14s, which will mean a trip to New York to play Met Oval, a Development Academy affiliate of NYCFC.
The U-12 rosters enter 2017 with one loss between them, all the way back on September 4th. They’ll face Lehigh Valley United at Lehigh University in late March, and the season wraps up on June 3rd, along with all Union Academy teams.
