UPDATED: Tanner speaks on winning, Curtin, and offseason changes

In an exclusive interview with PhiladelphiaUnion.com, Ernst Tanner discussed what needs to change in the offseason, what he hopes to retain (including head coach Jim Curtin), and how to build on a record-setting 2018.

Tanner began the conversation on how the young players already on the squad fit into his vision for the future of Philadelphia Union.

Followed up with a discussion on where he plans on scouting for this offseason.

He then commented on winning and its importance to him.

Next, Tanner delved into how the club will change its style of play to better challenge the teams at the top of the table in 2019.

Additionally, the Sporting Director explained why he chose to retain head coach Jim Curtin, and why he believes the man that led the Union to 15 wins in 2018 can help lead the club forward.

There was also a discussion about what it will take to satisfy Tanner's hunger to win and find success.

Tanner expanded on some of these comments in his end of season press conference on Monday.
