Two goals for three points will undoubtedly be the only numbers that matter in a 2-1 Union win against Sporting Kansas City Saturday night, but there are a few other numbers that we pulled from this one, we thought you’d find interesting.

2: Number of goals for Brian Brown this season, both against Sporting Kansas City, home and away.

7: Number of points the Union have taken from Sporting Kansas City this year, the most of any team all season. The Union defeated Sporting 2-1 at Sporting Park on May 14, tied Kansas City again at Sporting Park on Aug. 1 and Saturday’s 2-1 defeat.

100: Number of starts for Union original Amobi Okugo following Saturday’s match against Sporting Kansas City.

6: Number of shots on target for the Union against Kansas City.

2012: The last time midfielder Jimmy McLaughlin had MLS minutes. McLaughlin played the four minutes of stoppage time in Saturday’s win against Sporting. Both McLaughlin and fellow homegrown player Zach Pfeffer were a part of the 18-man game day roster for the Union.
