Jim Curtin press conference Tweet cap

Putting the result from Seattle behind them, the Philadelphia Union are looking ahead to Saturday's home match against struggling NYCFC. As always Jim Curtin's press conference was live-streamed but in case you missed any of it, here are the highlights.

Curtin's opening statement centered around last week's loss in Seattle:

He touched on Andre Blake's stellar performance and how much he means to the team:

And gave us my favorite Andre-related quote of the season:

Switching gears to NYCFC, he spoke about David Villa and what a match-up between he and Josh Yaro would look like, if Yaro plays on Saturday:

NYCFC's defense is struggling so far, but Curtin knows despite what the numbers may say they are still a tough competitor:

And you can't talk about NYCFC without mentioning Andrea Pirlo:

Injury updates on Ilsinho and Ken and also who we can expect to see in the 10 spot:

Maurice Edu has been spotted back on the training field this week, not engaging in drills, but going through his rehab routine outside with the team. Jim stressed that it is important to make sure Mo doesn't feel isolated while he is rehabbing, and shared some of the tactics he uses to keep him involved:
