Philadelphia Union return to Talen Energy Stadium this weekend for the first of three consecutive matches in front of their home fans. Before the Union get to work on the pitch, a few of the Boys in Blue took part in some activities on the court.
The Philadelphia 76ers were gracious enough to invite Alejandro Bedoya to ring the Sixers pre-game bell. The replica Liberty Bell is a Sixers pre-game tradition, where they invite a guest to get the game going with a ringing of the bell. On Thursday night the honor went to current Union Captain Bedoya
Bedoya wasn’t the only Union player to partake in the fun at the Wells Fargo Center. Teammates Keegan Rosenberry and Fabian Herbers joined Bedoya before the game, catching up with Sixer play-by-play man Marc Zumoff. The voice of the Sixers is also a Union season ticket holder and has called games for the Union when JP Dellacamera is unavailable.
At halftime the group joined Sixers’ in-arena host Christian Crosby for interviews, games and more. All of those features can be seen on the Sixers’ website and social media platforms.
Overall it was a great night for Bedoya and the Boys at the Wells Fargo Center.
A special thank you to the Sixers’ Front Office for the warm welcome and superb hospitality throughout the entire evening.
