Yaro returns
Josh Yaro made his 2017 season debut, as he returned from an injury to play in the Union’s away match against NYCFC. Yaro played in the final 19 minutes of the game and replaced Warren Creavalle, who left the match due to injury. The following day, he started as centerback and played 83 minutes for Bethlehem Steel FC in the team’s home match against Ottawa Furry FC.

Back to the States

Derrick Jones and Auston Trusty returned to training this week after competing in the U-20 FIFA World Cup for the U-20 USMNT. Jones appeared and started in three of the four matches, while Trusty appeared in two and scored the Union’s first World Cup goal at any level.

A remarkable season for Blake so far
Andre Blake’s save against Luis Silva in the Union’s 1-0 loss against Real Salt Lake was named the Union's Save of the Month for May. Last season, Blake was named 2016 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, and is doing just as well, if not better this season. With just 14 matches so far, Blake already has five shutouts and is one shy of his single-season career high, set last year.
