2017 MLS secondary transfer window
The MLS secondary transfer window opened today for teams to register new players via international transfers or intra-league trades. The secondary transfer window is the last opportunity for teams to complete transfers and trades for the 2017 season, and will end on August 9.
Players will not be able to play in an MLS match until their International Transfer Certificate (ITC) is completed, but are eligible to participate in preseason. Clubs can also make trades that do not involve players or transfer or loan their players to non-MLS clubs outside of the windows.
USMNT 1-1 draw against Panama
The US Men's National Team opened the Group B play in the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup with 1-1 draw against Panama. It was the fourth time each team met in international play and walked away with one goal and one point each.
Despite a challenging first half against their opponent, the USMNT found their breakthrough in the 50th minute when Dom Dwyer took a one-time shot in the box. Panama tied the game 10 minutes later when Miguel Camargo found his way to the back of the net. Both Dwyer and Camargo scored their second career goals for their representative countries in the match.
Although the US did not have their best performance, head coach Bruce Arena believes his team can move on in group play.
