Philadelphia Union return to the pitch on Friday in an ESPN prime-time matchup against Orlando City SC. With the Union hosting their Eastern Conference foe, we give you fantasy players from our squad that you should pencil in your lineup this weekend.
Jack Elliott – D - $7.5
Union defender Jack Elliott is expected to make his 34th consecutive MLS start on Friday night and for Philadelphia fans putting him in your Starting XI is a no brainer. The center back from London, England has been the anchor on a backline that tied for the least amount of goals given up in the Eastern Conference. With the Union having only allowed one goal this year at Talen Energy Stadium, Elliott is an easy choice for your lineup.
Borek Dockal – MF - $7.4
As Borek Dockal continues to appear for the Union, his play on the field continues to elevate as he grows accustom to the style of play in MLS. Dockal has increased his minutes total in every match he’s played in as he logged 86 minutes in his last outing against San Jose. Dockal recorded 92 touches last weekend and distributed 74 passes. Dockal recorded his first career MLS assist in his last match and as Dockal continues to build chemistry with his teammates; fantasy owners can count on Dockal to contribute to their lineup.
Fafa Picault – MF - $7.2
Philadelphia fans had their chance to see Fafa Picault for the first time last week at Talen Energy Stadium. The midfielder did not disappoint, as he fired three shots in the match and was everywhere on the pitch. Picault put his mark on the match last week with an assist on Alejandro Bedoya’s goal to grab a home point. The Union welcoming the same team that Picault earned a brace against in the season finale last year, look for Picault to be everywhere around the net.
