Philadelphia Union donated $12,920.00 in items to Building a Bridge to Uganda, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help "Uganda's greatest need for secondary education by building and funding Pope John Paul II High School."
With the Union's contribution, children of Pope John Paul II High School are able to continue their educational pursuits, and livea healthy and happy future. Here is a note from Building a Bridge to Uganda on the project:
"Chuck Ormsby, one of the founders of Building a Bridge to Uganda, said the kids at St. John Paul II High School in Uganda were ecstatic with the contributions Philadelphia Union made to Building a Bridge to Uganda. This year, when the missions team went to the jungles of Uganda in March, they were able to distribute Union scarves, cleats, uniforms, T-shirts, soccer balls and soccer equipment. The students and faculty were absolutely amazed. The school has even cleared new land to build their brand new soccer pitch. Thank you again from the bottom of the hearts of the kids in Uganda to Philadelphia Union for supporting them at such a level of generosity."
