Philadelphia Union earned a convincing 4-0 victory this past weekend much in part to the play of their midfielder Borek Dockal. The Czech No. 10 had a sensational day on the pitch and was voted by the fans as the IBX Live Fearless Man of the Match.
It was an impressive day for Dockal who earned his first brace in MLS on Saturday. Dockal found the back of the net twice for Philadelphia extending his goal total to five in 2018. Those five goals put Dockal as the club leader in goals scored. Dockal also leads all Philadelphia players in assists with six.
Overall, Dockal logged 85 minutes of action and recorded 99 touches in the win over Vancouver. Dockal was a maestro on the pitch with his distribution. The midfielder finished with 11 crosses on the day, the most by any player on either side on Saturday. Dockal finished with 67 passes and a passing accuracy of 92.5 percent.
Dockal’s magic on the pitch earned him national recognition as he was named to MLS Team of the Week as well as the club’s Man of the Match for his two-goal performance against the Whitecaps. Dockal has now recorded three game-winning goals the Union, leading all Philadelphia players in that category.

The Man of the Match will look to continue his strong form this week as the Union head out west to take on Ls Angeles Football Club for the first time in franchise history. Kick-off for this inter-conference clash on Saturday is set for 8 p.m. ET and will be televised on PHL17.
