TEAM NOTES

Union midfielder Borek Dockal made his team and league debut in today’s match … the Designated Player notched two shots over 77 minutes in the contest.

Today marked the 19th shutout of Andre Blake’s career and his second of the season … Blake is now one clean sheet shy of becoming the second goalkeeper in club history to reach 20; he trails only Zac MacMath (28) in the franchise record book.

With the shutout, Philadelphia has begun the 2018 campaign with two clean sheets in two matches, achieving that feat for the second time in franchise history … it was first done in 2011, by Faryd Mondragon, who kept clean sheets at Houston (March 19) and vs. Vancouver (March 26).

Following a bye week due to the FIFA international window, the Union next play on Saturday, March 31 with the club’s first road match of the season, at Colorado Rapids (9:00 p.m. ET / Live Well Network).
