UNION FACT CHECK: Union begin stretch of three games in eight days

The Union have another double game week, this time, both matches are on the road. The Union will travel to Montreal and Columbus in a Wednesday-Saturday game week. 

  • Philadelphia Union return to MLS action this week when they start a stretch of three matches in eight days.
  • The Union will head north of the border to take on Montreal Impact and then fly to Columbus to take on Crew SC, before returning home to face Columbus.
  • Philadelphia owns a record of 3-5-6 all-time against Montreal Impact.
  • The Union own a record of 7-10-1 all-time against Columbus Crew. Philadelphia has not lost to Columbus since Sept. 12, 2015.
  • In their last 10 matches, the Union own a record of 6-3-1.
  • Philadelphia owns a 6-4-3 and concede an average of 0.92 goals per game when Jack Elliott starts.
  • Alejandro Bedoya will be returning to Philadelphia from USMNT duty in anticipation of the birth of his second child.

  • In his last start, goalkeeper John McCarthy recorded a career-high seven saves in the draw against Sporting Kansas City. McCarthy was awarded MLS Save of the Week and was selected to the EA Sports FIFA Team of the Week.
  • Fafa Picault has recorded four goals and an assist in his last nine matches for Philadelphia.
