Dre and Rimando Comparison

Andre Blake was the first overall draft pick in 2014. After trading up to take the UConn goalie, Philadelphia Union head coach John Hackworth said, “He can do stuff now that people in our league can’t do.” In two years at Connecticut, Blake had been a phenomenon.

Find out how Dre compares to Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando as the team prepares to take on the west coast team Saturday at Talen Energy Stadium.

Real Wears Captain's Armband for U-20's

Union defender Matt Real has been away from the club for the past week due to international team obligations. On May 9, Real was summoned by U.S. Soccer to join the U-20 squad in South Florida for domestic camp as they prepared for international friendlies in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

Before the USYNT traveled to Honduras, they participated in a domestic camp and competed in a friendly against FC Miami City. Real started in the friendly as the U-20 Youth National Team cruised to a 5-0 win.

There was a notable moment in the contest, as Real served as the Captain for the United States Youth National Team in their friendly against FC Miami City. This is a role that Real cherishes and wants to continue to build on as camp continues.
