Earlier this year, pediatric cancer patients and their families visited the Union’s Power Training Complex to meet with players and design a special comic book cover that turned them into a superhero. On Thursday, the children will see the results of their design brought to life by professional artists, who will also turn the design into a warm-up jersey that the Union players will wear ahead of the club’s match vs. Sporting Kansas City on Sunday, September 23. “I was excited when I was asked to be a part of this event. It’s for a great cause, and I am excited to see the kids faces when they see the final product. It was awesome working with the Union and the kids putting this together."
“This project with the Union was a blast! Working with these wonderful kids and bringing their superhero dreams to life was an amazing experience. This was a great time, the kids and parents were awesome. I thank the Philadelphia Union for such a great idea and letting me be a part of it.”
