Pediatric Cancer Awareness

On Thursday, September 13, the Union unveiled their 2018 pediatric cancer awareness initiative at the Pennsylvania Convention Center’s Grand Hall, part of the Keystone Comic Con. The unveil event included Union players along with pediatric cancer patients and their families.
Earlier this year, the patients and their families visited the Union’s Power Training Complex to meet with players and design a special comic book cover that turned them into a superhero. On September 13, the children saw the results of their design brought to life by professional artists, who also turned the design into a warm-up jersey that the Union players will wear ahead of the club’s match vs. Sporting Kansas City.
The event is in partnership with Kisses for Kyle Foundation as well as the Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation.
