Philadelphia returns to action this Friday in Canada. As the Union begin their three-match road trip over the course of nine days, we give you three reasons to watch the first matchup against Eastern Conference foe Toronto FC. Kick off is set for 8 p.m. ET on PHL17.

Borek on the Ball

This past weekend, Philadelphia Union midfielder Borek Dockal had arguably his best performance of his MLS career in the team's 3-2 win against D.C. United. Dockal recorded his first career MLS goal, which proved to be a game-winner. The No. 10 also led the team in touches surpassing triple digits and was named to MLS Team of the Week in the process. Dockal will look to build on that momentum in Canada against Toronto FC who will be looking to stop the Czech International.

Captain Meet Captain

This matchup features two players who have served as Captains for the United States Men’s National Team in Alejandro Bedoya and Michael Bradley. Both midfielders currently serve as Captains for their club teams and have become the heart of their respective club’s rosters. Both players do the little things in contests that go unnoticed to the naked eye, but on Friday fans will want to keep an eye on both players as they patrol the pitch at BMO Field.

A Calendar Year For Sapong

CJ Sapong had an incredible season in 2017 and as we take a look back on the last calendar year, Sapong has been more than impressive. In the last 365 days of competition, Sapong has recorded 14 goals and five assists in MLS regular-season competition. Last season Sapong notched a goal against Toronto FC and will look to continue that magic this weekend in Canada.
